THE MATRIX

I absolutely love the movie "the matrix" I would love to talk about the prophetic parallels in the movie and the application of these examples in everyday life within every facet of the body of Christ especially leadership.
do not get me wrong; I am in no way trying to say that this movie is a "Christian" movie!!! This movie simply provides several types and shadows that adequately represent New testament truth.
The character Morpheus is a tremendous parallel to the older generation of apostolic fathers. The very name "Morpheus" speaks of change. (metamorphosis) even in the movie ... He is a "change agent" just as New testament Apostles are supposed to be.
also Neo means "new or recent" and in the movie he submits to the process and training of Morpheus who had been around for many years but also had been looking a very long time for this "Neo" which speaks of the new or recent generation. Many may already realize that in the year 2000 - 2001 there was a tremendous shifting in the heavens and in the dynamics of the kingdom of God which in turn has "reformed" and "revolutionized" the apostolic office as well as the prophetic office; we are definitely seeing a major difference in the functions and dynamics of both of these offices including the "five fold" office of the Teacher (Eph. 4:11/ 1 Cor 12:28 ).
In The Matrix; Neo comes along and Morpheus personally trains him, makes all of his own resources available, pours everything he has into Neo, develops him into an awesome "mindset" then in return Neo pours everything he has into his own training as well as receiving wisdom from Morpheus; then because of his own training and development he ends up taking the whole group to a whole new level of victory.
Neo did not come on the scene to "take over" and at the same time Morpheus did not try to establish a hierarchy and control Neo. They both willingly submitted to each other and because of this everything changed ... even Morpheus - and ultimately it brought salvation to everyone. Take a look at psalms 110:3 "Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth."
the womb is a place of conception and birthing: the morning is always new; if we are abiding in that place we will always be walking in the newness of life (Rom 6:4) birthing something fresh and new! Amen!
this seems to be the very dynamics and functions in operation right now within many levels and facets of the body of Christ. If you can see the "big picture" of this parallel, it is like an awesome puzzle. In order for the whole picture to be "the whole" every piece is very important and it will not be complete until every last one is in the very place that it belongs. We are all a piece of the puzzle and need to be connected to someone, learning from some and at the same time training others.
Whether we like it or not - it is by sovereign design- not just to feel good, but to present a picture or "the image" of Christ to a world that is lost and dying as well as a religious system that seriously needs a revolution. I would love to hear your thoughts and looking forward to your comments.
